Combat feeding officials feed troops millions of trans fat First Strike bars and Ranger bars*.

From 2007-2014, the millions of First Strike bars fed to troops were 8.3% trans fat by weight.  And they weigh 65g.  That means each bar has 5.4g trans fat.

The 3 million trans fat bars referred to below (in the lower emails) are just from one vendor, in one year.  They amount to 16,185,000 million grams -- 16 METRIC TONS -- of trans fat pumped into the arteries of the troops.

That’s unacceptable.

*the Ranger Bar is still loaded with trans fat, in 2015.
